England 

Week 2 of the premier league season begun on Saturday in Wales as Cardiff City and Newcastle United shared the spoils. 


However, the day picked off as Everton, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth picked up wins, as striker Harry Kane, finally registered a premier league goal in the month of August. 


Chelsea and Arsenal brought the curtains down in a grueling encounter that saw Eden Hazard turn on the magic as he helped Chelsea secure a 3-2 win via an Alonso shot.


Manchester City cruised to the top of the league with a 6-1 hammering of Huddersfield Town as Sergio Kun Aguero equalled Robbie Fowler's record of 9 hat-tricks in the premier league, while the returning David Silva also got in on the act. 


Manchester United suffered a shocking 3-2 defeat at Falmer stadium as a well-motivated Brighton side ensured that they remain unbeaten at home by Man United since 1982. 


Sean Dyche's Burnley also suffered a 1-3 defeat as they played host to Watford at Turf Moor.

Lionel Messi continues from where he left of; Sociedad record an impressive away win and Gareth Bale stars for Real Madrid as La Liga Santander Returns* 


Matchday one(1) of La Liga Santander begun with Girona and Valladolid sharing the spoils on Friday while Levante recorded an impressive 3-goal away win at Betis. 


On Saturday Barcelona eased past Alaves in a backbreaking encounter which needed Lionel Messi's brilliance as he begun his La Liga campaign with a brace.

Coutinho also got in on the act with a brilliant goal in the 83rd minute. 

Real Sociedad also recorded an impressive win at Estadio de la Ceràmica as William Josè and Juanmi's goal proved enough to see off the Yellow Submarines. 

Sevilla also managed a convincing 1-4 away win at Vallecano as Andre Silva became the first player to hit a hat-trick in the 2018/2019 La Liga season. 


With Ronaldo out, it looked like Real Madrid would suffer to break down Getafe's defence but a moment of brilliance from Gareth Bale led to a trademark header from Carvajal which found the back of the net. 

Real Madrid recorded their lowest attendance in 10years as their fans continue to nurse the shock of Cr7's exit but that did little to deter the players from turning on the style as Marco Asensio robbed defender Djene off the ball on the edge of the 18-yard box, teed-up Gareth Bale who made no mistake in slotting home the match clincher.
